Fauré Institute of Musical Studies and Dissemination
The Fauré Institute was born from the meeting between two musicians and educators who, after training and sharing stages between Mexico and France, decided to build a living bridge between both worlds through music.
Based in the heart of Querétaro, the institute is structured around two main axes:
- The Fauré Academy, active all year round,
- The Musical Dissemination Program, which organizes tours and concerts by European musicians in Mexico, offering recitals, meetings and master classes open to students from all over the country.

French musician, composer and educator.
Our story
More than a decade ago, Irene Mejía and Rogeiro Llamas met at the Conservatorio de Las Rosas in Morelia. Irene, a French-Mexican trained in Paris, and Rogeiro, a cellist in the midst of establishing his professional career, shared the same vision: music as a bridge between cultures and as a tool for human development.
From that affinity Fauré was born: a project that unites European artistic excellence with Mexican warmth, talent and cultural diversity.
Our mission
To foster the musical and personal development of children and young people in the state of Querétaro through a comprehensive arts education that promotes values such as discipline, teamwork and creativity, and that contributes to the cultural enrichment of the community.
Our vision
To be recognized as a national benchmark in the training of young musicians, with the aim of transforming lives through music and creating a generation of artists committed to cultural and social development through collaboration between Mexico and France.
Our values
Humanism: We are inspired to put the human being at the center: to grow, learn and find ourselves through art.
Interculturality: We believe in dialogue between Mexico and France as a way to enrich each other.
Accessibility: Art is for everyone. We want anyone to be able to access it without barriers.
Excellence with warmth: We aspire to artistic and educational quality, always with a personal touch and human approach.
Meeting and collaboration: We promote spaces where generations, artists and cultures coexist to create together.
Creativity: We value personal exploration and imagination as drivers of transformation.
Commitment to the community: We believe in the power of art to generate positive changes in our environment.

What makes us different
In a world where musical education is often isolated from the professional environment, Fauré creates a living connection between academia and the stage.
- Our students learn from visiting foreign musicians who are regularly present in Mexico.
- The training is complemented by recitals, masterclasses and real concert experiences.
- We maintain a human and accessible approach, where each student receives personalized support, with discipline, sensitivity and historical rigor.
Fauré doesn't just teach music: It creates community, crosses borders, and transforms lives through art.
